Spiderman 3

Spidey3, the movie the entire world has been waiting for the past 2 yrs. The most expensive movie ever, the most waited movie and one of the most hyped movies got released last friday. I had thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 series of Spiderman. I watched the first of the Spiderman series 4 times and couldnt wait for the next part. After watching the spiderman 2, i was waiting for Spiderman 3 even more desperately. Watching spiderman swing across the busy Newyork streets is still one of the best things to watch on silverscreen. Whats more enjoyable is to watch spiderman on IMAX screen, the biggest screen in the world. I loved spiderman and his adventures from my childhood. I grew up watching the super heroes He-Man, Spider Man, Batman and Super man. Spiderman has been my favourite among these.

The latest Spiderman series is not all about action adventures of the superhero. You dont see spiderman fighting his enemies in this movie, for most of the time. The movie deals with the worst enemy, the enemy within. I personally dont accept with people saying that superheroes cannot be human and cannot give in to emotions. I heard lot of people, media talk about the latest superman series. But I loved the latest superman movie much more than the previous ones. The fact that even the superheroes have emotions makes them more human. It is their belief and confidence that makes them what they are. This makes one believe that even humans like us can be superheroes if we believe in ourself.

The spiderman3 deals more with human aspects of the Peter Parker rather than the adventures of Spiderman. The movie deals with complacency, revenge, jealousy and anguish. In addition to these emotional aspects, Spiderman has to also deal with 3 other enemies, his friend Harry, Sandman and the Venom.

Spiderman 3 doesnt meet the standards set by the first 2 of the series. It doesnt leave a message to the viewers as the previous ones. The pace of the movie is pretty slow with the pace gaining only in the climax. The graphics and visuals are stunning as usual. The background music is also good. The movie would definitely be worth watching for Categories A, B and C. The cateogry c viewers can also give it a try.

Dear Pavan,
I was looking forward to see this movie. I guess it can be watched fo r the emotions portrayed- the deeper darker side of spiderman.Hoping that the effects are as good as the other spiderman movies! Will be watching it soon
Keep up the blogs

Damn good concept of showing the grey side in everyone...i mean not only showing the dark side of spiderman was great but also the good side of every villian was just too beautiful....i think the movie failed in the scripting and sequencing of events and the stunts were also not as great and visually appealing as the previous 2 versions. I still believe that the majority of the audience still want their heroes to be perfect(bec this is what they dont get in the reality) so am not too sure how well this concept will go with the masses

Yes Malvika. The movie is definitely worth watching. Be it for the emotions or darker side of Peter Parker or be it just for Spiderman and the hype itself. Enjoy watching :-)

Amit, I dont think stunts and visuals were a let down. Of course, there were not too many of those action sequences. People want their heroes to be perfect. But thats being so unrealistic. I believe this is just adding human touch to the super heroes. Everyone can aspire to be heroes, if not super heroes. I think thats the message.

And abt the movie going well, I feel now the movie has become family movie. With action and stunts the movie was for youth and kids. Now women and family can watch it too. I feel it would work out at the boxoffice. Moreover, there is no movie currently that can challenge Spidey's run.

My main peeve with the movie is that it's all about personal revenge, not saving he world. All three villians and spiderman are in for vengence. I get that Spiderman is human and had emotions, but this movie seemed to be about all the wrong emotions. (This is coming from a person who loves all superheroes, so it's huge.)

I wouldn't let a kind below 8 watch this movie because he wouldn't understand the exact reasons for spiderman's behaviour and would learn that revenge is ok as an emotion. Also, Venom was very graphic. Kids would have nightmares after looking at him.

In spite of everything, I loved the movie for the CGI and action sequences and would recommend it to any adult.

Just my 2cents.
